Tell me a story...
My niece Madisyn is seriously the funniest 3 yr old I have ever met. She is very big into pretending these days and loves when you tell her a good scary story. I've tried to come up with some good ones, but she made it quite clear on my last attempt that it wasn't up to par. We sat down on the couch with her saying "tell me a story." So, I told a story about a scary green monster and children running for their lives-the scarier the better. I finished up the story pretty impressed with myself. But, she just sat there. "That was boring..." I was shocked! I threw out some of my best material in that one! "Well, you tell me a story then." "Fine. Once upon a time there were 2 girls. One of the girls asked the other girl to tell her a story and it was stupid. The End." Pretty sure, I could not stop laughing.

"Testosterone Poisoning"
I was talking to some very well educated women last night that informed me that "all men suffer from Testosterone Poisoning." It all makes sense now! I've recently been asked out a total of 7 times, from the same guy mind you, and he hasn't gotten the hint yet. I've told him, repeatedly, that I'm just not interested, but he comes back with "I'm not interested either, I just want to get to know you." Oh, really? Or my favorite reaction of his to my rejection: "Are you still hung up on your ex?" Nice one. "No, just NOT INTERESTED." Are we done here? I've also been informed that he has done this before to another girl in our ward. **Shaking my head in disgust** I guess it ended up in a debate with this unfortunate soul as to why he thought they were compatible. I'm thinking she didn't buy it either, because he moved on to his next victim, me. In fact, he is texting me as we speak. OOoo this just in: "Now this is going to keep things weird between us and I don't know why!" No it won't, silly, because I was avoiding you in the first place. :) There is no stopping this kid, he is like Superman...except the powers...and the cool factor. **Clearing throat** Anyways, I shall keep you updated on my new boyfriend, until then Here's to Rome!

First, and foremost...
Welcome to my blog! I'm new at this, so bear with me! I hope to have pictures up and running soon; just wanted to introduce myself and get my name out there!
I think that I can speak for all of us when I say that we have all experienced hard times. It's what we do during those hard times that make us who we are. "Here's to Rome" was developed while talking to my best friend, Haley (yes, we know our names rhyme). We decided that we were going to say "here's to Rome" when something just doesn't go right. It reminds us that good times are just ahead! Which brings me to my next topic...we're going to Rome!... And Paris! and Spain! Jealous yet? I could keep going... Our other friend Zach is also joining us on this great voyage across the seas! We are leaving in May which leaves us 6 more months of planning and waiting. In the meantime, I hope to capture the adventures I experience, the lessons I learn and all the in between stories along the way...So don't forget to remember to laugh!!
